Oven Fries

4-5 large potatoes (Yukon Gold potatoes were used today!)
Package dry onion soup mix (like Lipton for example - its what my mom uses!)
Salt & pepper to taste
Vegetable oil

Preheat oven to 475 degrees. Scrub or peel potatoes then cut them into wedges. Place each potato slice on a heavily oiled baking sheet or pan. Sprinkle on onion soup mix and stir to coat. Bake for 30 minutes, then stir potatoes and bake for another 15 minutes more. Sprinkle with salt & pepper and serve immediately.

Variation: For potato chips, slice the potatoes very thin and follow the same method, but cut cooking time to two 15 minute intervals.

If you don't like Lipton onion soup mix, Spike brand seasoning is an excellent option!

Ate WAY too many of these last night :)
